MUNK GmbH would like to thank all the visitors and participants of Surface Technology at Hanover Fair 2009.
We thank you for many interesting conversation concerning "optimized process control" and "energy efficiency".
Despite the global crisis, during our participation at Hanover Fair it was demonstrated that even in hard times fairs can turn out to be very successful. In contrast to the prevailing gloom, we have been able to welcome many new customers from Europe, North America and Asia at our booth in hall 6 on "Surface Technology".
The successful arrangement of the community booth "World of Surface" which was planned and organised by Mr. Matheis, head of the ZVO, also attracted many additional visitors.
Richard Ong of Geacon Technologies, official service partner of Munk in Singapore, was also part of the booth crew. He primarily cared for the Asian visitors.
The customers were especially interested in our new concept of energy efficiency. Here we convert energy losses into effective energy.
We are able to warm the coolant up to 65°C whereas coolant temperatures at the input are tolerated up to 45°C. Therefore this concept can achieve more than the simple energy recovery system promoted in the market.

Not only for the experts but also for our political guests this concept was of a big interest. We welcomed the secretary of state Dr. Jens Baganz, accompanied by the head of the ZVO Christoph Matheis to provide him with a comprehensive update on our latest achievements with regard to energy efficiency and efficient process control.
This year we presented the current most innovative plating rectifier generation called "PowerRack" . It combines in addition to the compact type of construction, a high degree of protection (IP54, NEMA 4) also a simple extensibility and simple upgrade option.
This allows the demand-oriented investment. The risk to underestimate the needed capacity does not play a role anymore. PowerRack belongs to the group of "smart"-rectifiers in the product range of Munk GmbH, which are scalable and allow automatic load sharing.
The Reverse Pulse Power Supply AxD, winner of the Technology Award 2008, attracted many customers, too.
In addition to the known copper applications, the AxD power supplies are used successfully in nickel applications and special forming processes. The simple handling of these units and the fastest change in pulse patterns guarantees repeatable results in unprecedented accuracy.
Another innovation which we presented in Hanover was our anodic bath protection processor for electroless nickel, the PKA-2.XT as a 19" plug-in module. It was especially developped for the simple and fast replacement of existing anodic bath protection processors for nickel plating in order to deposit even less nickel than before.

Hanover Fair 2009 - a success? YES!
This year the Munk team managed to develop some innovations which make the practitioner´s work easier and therefore ensures a fast return on investment.
We are now already preparing for the SUR/FIN in June 2009 in Louisville, Kentucky, USA, the next event in our calendar. Serving the industry is our task.
